Jared Nicholson invented a new sculpting medium he calls Skratch and has been perfecting it for years in all kinds of projects. He's used Skratch to sculpt mirror frames, outdoor signage, elaborate interior architectural detailing, a spiral staircase in the shape of a seashell, and now, most famously, a fleet of cars. This rusty ol' Plymouth was turned into this rolling sculpture, which he named the Artachoke after he and girlfriend Cathy Chiles drove it across country and noticed people's reactions. "It's art, and people choke on it", says Jared. And yes, he spells it funny on purpose.
